I came to the Red Sea in 1996 with my first Slingshot C kite 15m. This was the right sport to start learning twintip kiteboarding. On the shores of the Red Sea lay Safaga and Hurghada. This was kitesurfing in the land of piramids and turquoise waters.

I felt pretty insecure while armed soldiers where guarding streets where tourists dwell. Good spots are often situated near private beaches. Western travellers are preys for commercants willing to sell you their whole stock furniture.
CONDITIONS
This is flatwater country. Beginners and free riders love this place. Knee deep waters where IKO instructors teach you the kitesurfprincipals. Or stop up to the next kitesurflevel with your kite loop or handle passes.
