Enjoy the quiet periode of may and June. Once the school summer holidays start, this place will be packed with windsurf dudes and chicks. During July and august you get spoiled with 40+ knots of winds more than often. Get ready for winter escape if you want to pick up some Atlantic swell.

CONDITIONS
The Levante and Poniente are the dominant winds in Tarifa. The Eastern Levante originates from Morocco and can be extremely strong in Tarifa, usually around 30 knots, but sometimes it blows for days at a time at 50 knots or more. It is an easterly wind that originates in North Africa and blows across the Mediterranean and out into the Atlantic ocean through the Strait of Gibraltar.
FOOD & TRAVELLING
Food and drinks are everywhere. Tarifa is/was a low-budget windsurf spot that offers all accommodation needed. During weekend, Spanish youngsters travel south to spend money on alcoholic drinks. Food nor overnight stay is a problem in Tarifa.
