Homespot since 1993 - Only 63 km of coastline, but you can find surfclubs every 5 km along the shore. Be ready for those choppy Nortsea conditions when the SW is blowing.... As this is the narrow passage between European mainland and UK, be prepared for heavy current up to 6 knots. As you go in, beware of breakwaters on every beach. The water is greenish grey and foam surrounds you as soon as the wind hits 20 knots.

Belgium has a windy spring and fall. Get ready for rather cold temperatures and always wear a 4/5 mm wetsuit, just in cas you could get into trouble. Enjoy the rather difficult conditions together with the locals. And have a good beer in one of the beach clubs when your session comes to an end.

CONDITIONS
Not that easy to master the strong current and unpredictable wave breaks. With SW or NE you can easily make long downwinders along the 63 km long Belgium coastline. Most of the time it's chilly, but when you catch the right wave forget all your sorrow.
