WINDSURFING HOLLAND
Since 2003 - After my first steps on the Dutch waters at Veerse Meer, Grevelingen and Oesterdam, I learned windsurfing on the Northsea near Ameland. On the tip of Holland 6 islands are gathered, waiting to be windsurfed. Ameland is a protected island that captures easily those Northsea swells.

BEST TIME
The lowland of Holland is windswept from february till juni. Waiting period is summertime. From October on, be prepared for some fierce winter storms sometimes blowing up to 40 knots.

CONDITIONS
The Dutch lakes are flat waterspots, ideal to start windsurfing, practicing slalom and course race. Close to the dikes you find premium freestyle flatwater.
FOOD & TRAVELLING
Holland is very restricted about camping. No wild camping allowed. Find food and drinks behind every corner. On every spot you will met nice windsurfers to go for a drink and discuss your last session.
